In just one linear metre, the VF1000 display fridge at 100 cm gives you a curved glass front, 55 cm of usable display depth for cold cuts, cheeses and vacuum-packed meat, plus a 94 cm storage compartment below. It is the option for convenience stores that do not have room for a full aisle section but still want a display that can be seen from the corridor.

The curved glass: what it changes at the shelf

The curved front in toughened glass is not merely a matter of appearance. The curve opens the viewing angle: a customer walking along the aisle can see the front-row products both from above and from the side, not only head-on. On a cold cuts section, where the purchase decision is made on the move, this matters. In addition, the continuous surface with no edges in the field of vision gives the cabinet the classic deli-counter look, instantly recognisable to any shopper.

If you prefer a straight front — easier to wipe at eye level and with a more contemporary line — the same cabinet is available as the VF1000D, identical in every other respect.

What to display and what not to

• Cold cuts, salamis, ham, cooked meat preparations, whole or sliced
• Packaged cheeses and dairy products
• Vacuum-packed or pre-packaged meat
• Packaged products stored at +2/+8 °C

Not suitable for unwrapped fresh meat, minced meat, offal, unwrapped poultry, fish on ice or frozen products. These require humidity control and lower temperature thresholds. For these, request a quote for a butcher shop display fridge.

Static cooling, no forced air inside the cabinet

The cold air produced by the evaporator is denser than warm air: it descends over the merchandise, warms up and rises back towards the evaporator. The cycle closes on its own through natural convection, maintaining a uniform temperature inside the cabinet. There is no fan inside the display compartment — the only fan in the cabinet cools the refrigeration unit's condenser. This is what makes operation quiet and prevents sliced cold cuts and cheeses from sitting in an airflow that dries out their surface.

The digital thermostat permanently displays the internal temperature and controls the refrigeration unit's cycles. Defrost is automatic and static, requiring no staff intervention and no electric heating element.

The storage space beneath the cabinet

Below the display area, the cabinet features a storage compartment measuring 94 × 55 × 25 cm — essentially the same footprint as the display area, 6 cm shorter. On the 100 cm model, access is via 1 door. This is where you keep stock for the current shift: you restock the cabinet in a matter of seconds, without a trip to the back room and without leaving the counter unattended.

• LED lighting with accurate colour rendering for food products, low energy consumption, no heat input into the cabinet.
• Built-in refrigeration unit with R290 refrigerant — plugs into a standard socket, no separate refrigeration installation required.
• Adjustable feet — for levelling on uneven floors and raising the cabinet by approximately 5 cm.

Leave a minimum of 10 cm free at the rear and sides for condenser ventilation. Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in the draught of an access door or air-conditioning unit — these are the most common causes of continuous-cycle operation in summer.

Installation and maintenance

The cabinet is delivered ready for use. After transport, leave it upright for a few hours before first start-up to allow the compressor oil to settle, then level it on the adjustable feet. Routine maintenance consists of cleaning with neutral detergents, periodic inspection of the condenser and checking the drain for defrost water. Full instructions.

Weight, warranty and delivery

The cabinet weighs approximately 80 kg, so unloading and positioning in the store requires two people. Check the access route in advance: door widths, any thresholds and, if necessary, manoeuvring space at corners.
