At 250 cm, the VF1000D allows clear separation of cold cuts, cheeses and vacuum-packed products into distinct zones within the same cabinet and at the same temperature — useful both for customers navigating the display and for staff restocking.

A flat front takes half the time to clean

The flat glass of the VF1000D series is a continuous surface with no curves and no areas a cloth cannot reach. In a shop where the display fridge is wiped down several times a day, the difference is felt at every shift. The same logic applies to the interior: food-grade stainless steel has a smooth, chemically neutral surface that retains no residue and withstands professional cleaning agents without degrading.

If you prefer a curved front for a wider viewing angle from the aisle, the same fridge is available as the VF1000, with curved glass.

The top surface used as display space

Because the glass is flat, it gives you a usable surface directly on top of the fridge. Many retailers use it for lightweight impulse products — sweets, confectionery, chewing gum, small items — right where customers are already waiting in line. In practice, you gain a linear metre of display space without occupying a single extra centimetre of floor space.

The surface is designed for lightweight merchandise, not as a work surface or support for heavy loads.

Operating temperature: +2/+8 °C

Cooling is static, by natural convection: cold air descends over the products, warm air rises towards the evaporator, and the cycle repeats. There is no fan in the display area — the only fan cools the refrigeration unit's condenser. The result: silent operation, low energy consumption and products that are not exposed to a draught. Defrosting is automatic and static, and the temperature is adjusted and read on the digital thermostat.

What you can and cannot display

Yes: cold cuts, salamis, ham, processed meat products, packaged cheeses and dairy, vacuum-packed or pre-wrapped meat, packaged salads and semi-prepared foods, any product stored at +2/+8 °C.

No: unwrapped fresh meat, minced meat, offal, unwrapped poultry, fish on ice, frozen products. In a fridge without humidity control, the surface of unprotected meat dehydrates and changes colour. For these product types, contact us and we will recommend a suitable butcher's display fridge.

Storage below the display area

The lower compartment measures 244 × 55 × 25 cm and is accessed via 2 doors. This is where you keep stock for the current shift — every metre of display gives you a metre of reserve storage, right at the point of sale.

Before ordering, check the width of the doors and the corridor through which the fridge will be brought in, and allow a minimum of 10 cm clearance at the rear for condenser ventilation.

The first hours after delivery

Leave the fridge in an upright position for a few hours before switching it on for the first time, to allow the compressor oil to settle, then level it using the adjustable feet. Thereafter: clean with neutral detergents, inspect the condenser periodically, keep the drain clear and ensure the ventilation grilles are unobstructed. Operating and maintenance instructions.

Weight, warranty and delivery

The fridge weighs approximately 150 kg, so unloading and positioning in the shop requires two people. Check the access route in advance: door widths, any thresholds and manoeuvring space at corners.

12-month warranty. Should a fault occur during the warranty period, we ship the replacement part directly to the buyer so the fridge can be back in operation quickly, without the need to transport the unit to a service centre. Full terms are available in the warranty terms and conditions.
