Description
At 150 cm, the VF1000D is the last configuration in the series with a single access door to the storage space. One and a half metres of straight glass front, at +2/+8 °C, with 144 cm of stock compartment underneath.
VF1000D or VF1000? The difference is the glass
The two series are the same display fridge: the same 150 × 90 × 125 cm, the same 55 cm usable depth, the same refrigeration unit, the same equipment. Only the glass front differs. VF1000D has a straight glass front, VF1000 has a curved glass front.
Choose the straight front when you want a modern, understated look that aligns cleanly with the counter or surrounding furniture; when you value quick cleaning on a flat surface with no hard-to-reach areas; or when you want products to be seen exactly as they are, without the distortion that a curved surface inevitably introduces. Choose the curved front when a wider viewing angle from the aisle and the classic deli-counter look matter more to you.
The top surface used as display space
Being flat, the straight glass gives you a usable surface right on top of the display fridge. Many retailers use it for lightweight impulse products — sweets, confectionery, chewing gum, small items — right in the zone where customers are already queuing. In practice, you gain a linear metre of display space without occupying a single extra centimetre of floor area.
The surface is intended for lightweight goods, not as a work surface or support for heavy loads.
The assortments you can display
- Cold cuts, salamis, ham, processed meat products, whole or sliced
- Packaged cheeses and dairy products
- Vacuum-packed or supplier-pre-packed meat
- Salads, semi-prepared dishes, ready-packaged meals and other products stored at +2/+8 °C
What falls outside its scope: unwrapped fresh meat, minced meat, offal, unwrapped poultry, fish on ice, frozen products. These are assortments that require humidity control and stricter temperature thresholds than a static display fridge at +2/+8 °C can permanently guarantee. For these, request a quote for a butcher's display fridge.
Natural convection, no fan inside the cabinet
The cold air produced by the evaporator sinks over the merchandise because it is denser than warm air; the warmed air rises back towards the evaporator and the cycle repeats on its own. There is no forced ventilation inside the display compartment — the only fan in the unit cools the condenser of the refrigeration unit. For sliced cold cuts and cheeses, the absence of a constant airflow means product that does not dry out on the surface.
The digital thermostat displays the cabinet temperature and controls the refrigeration unit cycles. Defrosting is automatic and static.
The under-counter stock compartment
Beneath the display area there is a storage space of 144 × 55 × 25 cm — the same depth as the display area, 6 cm shorter than the cabinet. On the 150 cm model, access is through 1 door. Keep your stock for the current shift there and restock the display fridge without a trip to the back store.
Materials and equipment
- Food-grade stainless steel interior — chemically neutral, no transfer of taste or odour, resistant to professional cleaning agents.
- Straight tempered glass front — flat surface, easy to wipe, also acting as a thermal barrier.
- 20 cm deep interior shelf for sliced and portioned products.
- LED lighting with accurate colour rendering of food products, no heat input into the cabinet.
- Built-in refrigeration unit with R290 — plugs into a standard socket.
- Adjustable feet — levelling and height increase of approximately 5 cm.
Dimensions and placement
- Length: 150 cm · Width: 90 cm · Height: 125 cm (adjustable up to ~130 cm)
- Usable display depth: 55 cm · Interior shelf: 20 cm
- Storage space: 144 × 55 × 25 cm, 1 access door
- Power supply: 220–240 V / 50 Hz · Energy class C
Allow a minimum of 10 cm of clear space at the rear and sides for condenser ventilation. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources and draughts from the entrance door or air conditioning.
From delivery to operation
The display fridge arrives ready to use. After transport, leave it upright for a few hours before first start-up, then level it on its feet. Maintenance: clean with neutral detergents, periodically check the condenser and the defrost water drain. Full instructions.
Available lengths
VF1000D is manufactured from 100 to 400 cm, with the same width and the same adjustable height. Access doors to the storage space follow the length: 1 door from 100 to 150 cm, 2 doors from 170 to 250 cm, 3 doors from 300 to 350 cm, 4 doors at 400 cm. View the full series.
Weight, warranty and delivery
The display fridge weighs approximately 80 kg, so unloading and positioning in the shop requires two people. Check the access route in advance: door widths, any thresholds and manoeuvring space at corners.
12-month warranty. If a fault occurs during the warranty period, we ship the replacement part directly to the buyer so that the display fridge can be put back into operation quickly, without transporting the unit to a service centre. Full terms are in the warranty terms and conditions.

Frequently asked questions
Can I place products on top of the display fridge?+
Yes, lightweight products. The straight glass creates a flat surface on which many retailers display sweets, confectionery, or other small impulse-buy items. It is not designed as a work surface or to bear heavy loads.
What sizes are available?+
Lengths from 100 to 400 cm, width 90 cm, usable display depth 55 cm, and height 125 cm, adjustable to approximately 130 cm via the levelling feet.
Does the display fridge have an internal fan?+
No. Cooling is static, by natural convection. The only fan is on the refrigeration unit, which cools the condenser.
At what temperature does it operate?+
Between +2 and +8 °C, adjustable via the digital thermostat.
What are the dimensions of the storage compartment?+
It is 6 cm shorter than the cabinet, has the same depth as the display area (55 cm), and is 25 cm tall. On the 150 cm model this gives 144 × 55 × 25 cm.
Do the display fridges have automatic defrost?+
Yes, all models in the range. Defrosting is automatic and static, requiring no intervention from staff.
Can the height be adjusted?+
Yes. The 125 cm figure is the height at the lowest position; by extending the adjustable feet, the unit can be raised by approximately 5 cm.
Can they be customised?+
Yes, made to order in 7–10 working days, with curved or straight glass and custom lengths on request.
How much does the display fridge weigh?+
The 150 cm model weighs approximately 80 kg. We recommend unloading and positioning it with two people.
What products can I display in these fridges?+
Cold cuts, cheeses and dairy products, vacuum-packed or pre-packaged meat, and other packaged food items that are stored at +2/+8 °C.
What warranty is included?+
12 months. In the event of a fault, we ship the replacement part directly to the customer so the unit can be brought back into operation without having to transport the equipment to a service centre.
Can I display fresh unwrapped meat?+
No. These display fridges use static cooling in the +2/+8 °C range, without controlled humidity. For loose fresh meat, minced meat, offal, or unwrapped poultry, a specialist butcher's display fridge is required. Contact us and we will be happy to make a recommendation.
What does the +
It stands for straight glass. The VF1000D is the same display fridge as the VF1000, with identical dimensions and the same specification, but with a straight front panel instead of a curved one.
Which glass option is easier to clean?+
The straight front, being a continuous flat surface, can be wiped down more quickly and has no hard-to-reach areas.
