VF1000 at 170 cm opens the range with two doors giving access to the storage compartment. In practice, you can restock the fridge from two points without having to walk all the way around the aisle carrying products. Everything else remains unchanged: curved glass, 55 cm usable depth, static cooling.

The curved glass: what it changes on the shop floor

The curved front in toughened glass is not just a matter of appearance. The curve widens the viewing angle: a customer walking along the aisle can see the products in the front row both from above and from the side, not only head-on. In a cold cuts section, where the purchase decision is made on the move, this matters. In addition, the continuous surface — with no edges in the field of vision — gives the display fridge the classic deli-counter look that any shopper instantly recognises.

If you prefer a flat front — easier to wipe down at eye level and with a more contemporary look — the same fridge is available as the VF1000D, identical in every other respect.

What you can and cannot display

• Cold cuts, salami, ham, processed meat products, whole or sliced
• Packaged cheeses and dairy products
• Vacuum-packed or pre-packaged meat
• Packaged products stored at +2/+8 °C

Not intended for fresh unpackaged meat, minced meat, offal, unpackaged poultry, fish on ice or frozen products. These require humidity control and lower temperature thresholds. For those applications, request a quote for a butcher shop display fridge.

Static cooling — no fan inside the cabinet

The cold air produced by the evaporator is denser than warm air: it sinks over the products, warms up and rises back towards the evaporator. The cycle closes by itself through natural convection, maintaining a uniform temperature throughout the cabinet. There is no fan inside the display area — the only fan in the unit cools the refrigeration unit's condenser. This is why the fridge operates quietly and why sliced cold cuts and cheeses are not exposed to an airflow that would dry out their surface.

The digital thermostat continuously displays the cabinet temperature and controls the refrigeration unit's cycles. Defrosting is automatic and static — no staff intervention and no electric defrost heater required.

The under-counter storage space

Beneath the display area, the fridge has a storage compartment measuring 164 × 55 × 25 cm — essentially the same footprint as the display zone, 6 cm shorter. On the 170 cm model, access is via 2 doors. This is where you keep stock for the current shift: you can restock the fridge in seconds, without a trip to the back store and without leaving the counter unattended.

Materials and features

• Food-grade stainless steel interior — chemically neutral, no taste or odour transfer, resistant to professional cleaning agents, with a smooth surface that does not trap residues.
• Toughened curved glass front, also acting as a thermal barrier.
• 20 cm deep interior shelf for sliced and portioned products, raising part of the display into the customer's line of sight.
• LED lighting with accurate colour rendering for food products, low energy consumption and no heat input into the cabinet.
• Built-in refrigeration unit with R290 refrigerant — plugs into a standard socket, no separate refrigeration installation required.
• Adjustable feet — for levelling on uneven floors and raising the unit by approximately 5 cm.

Leave at least 10 cm of clearance at the rear and sides for condenser ventilation. Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in the draught of an entrance door or air conditioning unit — these are the most common causes of continuous-cycle operation in summer.

Installation and maintenance

The fridge is delivered ready to use. After transport, leave it upright for a few hours before first switch-on to allow the compressor oil to settle, then level it using the feet. Routine maintenance consists of cleaning with neutral detergents, periodic inspection of the condenser and checking that the defrost water drain is clear. Full instructions.

The VF1000 is manufactured in lengths from 100 to 400 cm, at the same 90 cm width and the same adjustable height. The number of access doors to the storage compartment follows the length: 1 door from 100 to 150 cm, 2 doors from 170 to 250 cm, 3 doors from 300 to 350 cm and 4 doors at 400 cm. Weight, warranty and delivery

The fridge weighs approximately 80 kg, so unloading and positioning in the shop requires two people. Check the access route in advance: door widths, any steps or thresholds and, where applicable, manoeuvring space at corners.

12-month warranty. Should a fault occur within the warranty period, we dispatch the replacement part directly to the buyer so that the fridge can be brought back into operation quickly, without shipping the unit to a service centre. Full terms are set out in the warranty terms and conditions.
