The VFX1000 400 cm display fridge is the longest configuration in the range, featuring four doors giving access to the storage space. Four metres of continuous display at +2/+8 °C, with a usable depth of 60 cm, for cold cuts and dairy aisles in supermarkets and cash & carry outlets.

Static cooling at +2/+8 °C: what it means in practice

In a static-cooling display fridge, the cold circulates naturally. The cold air produced by the evaporator is denser than warm air, descends over the products, absorbs heat and rises back towards the evaporator. There is no fan inside the display area — the unit's only fan cools the condenser of the refrigeration unit. For sliced cold cuts, cheeses and vacuum-packed products, the absence of a constant airflow means merchandise that does not dry out on the surface and packaging that does not lift.

The temperature is set and read on the digital thermostat with display. Defrosting is automatic and static, requiring no staff intervention and no defrost heater.

Wide 102 cm body

The VFX1000 is the wide-body range: 102 cm external width and 60 cm usable display depth, compared with 90 cm and 55 cm on the VF1000 and VF1000D ranges. The result is more product on display per linear metre of shelf space. In return, the cabinet extends 12 cm further into the aisle — a measurement to check before ordering, along with the width of the doorways through which the unit will be brought into the store.

Construction

The interior is made from food-grade stainless steel: chemically neutral, with no transfer of taste or odour, a smooth surface that cleans quickly and withstands professional cleaning agents. The curved or straight toughened-glass front provides full visibility and contributes to thermal insulation. LED lighting renders the colours of food products accurately, consumes little energy and introduces no heat into the cabinet. The refrigeration unit is built in, uses R290 refrigerant, and the feet are height-adjustable.

Storage compartment

Beneath the display surface there is a stock space measuring 394 × 60 × 25 cm, accessible through 4 doors. It shares the same depth as the display area and is 6 cm shorter than the overall cabinet length. With the wide-body range, the 60 cm depth means more boxes can be stored side by side than in a 55 cm compartment.

Recommended products and limitations

Suitable for: cold cuts, salamis, ham, processed meat products, packaged cheeses and dairy products, vacuum-packed or pre-packaged meat, packaged salads and ready-to-cook products, any product stored at +2/+8 °C.

Not suitable for: unwrapped fresh meat, minced meat, offal, unwrapped poultry, fish on ice, frozen products. For these, request a quote for a butcher's display fridge and we will recommend the right model.

Allow a minimum of 10 cm of free space at the rear and sides for condenser ventilation.

Operation

After transport, leave the unit upright for several hours before switching it on for the first time, to allow the compressor oil to settle, then level it using the adjustable feet. Clean the interior with neutral detergents, periodically check the condenser and the defrost drain, and keep the ventilation grilles clear. Operating and maintenance instructions.

Lengths and customisation

The range covers 100–400 cm, with 1, 2, 3 or 4 access doors to the storage space depending on the length. Custom configurations are also available, with a lead time of 7–10 working days.

Weight, warranty and delivery

The cabinet weighs approximately 250 kg. As the wide-body range at 102 cm, before delivery please check not only the width of the access doors but also the manoeuvring space at corners and along corridors. Unloading and positioning requires two people.

12-month warranty. Should a fault occur during the warranty period, we will ship the replacement part directly to the customer so that the unit can be returned to service quickly, without the need to transport the equipment to a service centre.
