The VFX1000 200 cm display fridge meets the needs of a small supermarket or high-traffic store: two metres of continuous display at +2/+8 °C, on a wide 102 cm body, with 194 cm of buffer stock space below and two access doors.

Static cooling at +2/+8 °C: what it means in practice

In a static-cooling display fridge, cold air circulates on its own. The cold air produced by the evaporator is denser than warm air, sinks over the products, warms up and rises back to the evaporator. There is no fan in the display area — the unit's only fan cools the condenser of the refrigeration unit. For sliced cold cuts, cheeses and vacuum-packed products, the absence of a constant airflow means produce that does not dry out on the surface and packaging that does not lift.

The temperature is set and read on the digital thermostat display. Defrosting is automatic and static, requiring no staff intervention and no defrost heater.

Wide body at 102 cm

VFX1000 is the wide-body series: 102 cm external width and 60 cm usable display depth, compared with 90 cm and 55 cm on the VF1000 and VF1000D series. The result is more product on show per linear metre of counter space. In return, the cabinet extends 12 cm further into the aisle — a measurement to verify before ordering, along with the width of the doors through which the unit will be brought into the shop.

Construction

The interior is made from food-grade stainless steel: chemically neutral, with no transfer of taste or odour, a smooth surface that cleans quickly and withstands professional-grade detergents. The tempered-glass front, curved or straight, provides full visibility and contributes to thermal insulation. LED lighting renders the colours of food products accurately, consumes little energy and adds no heat to the cabinet interior. The refrigeration unit is built-in, using R290 refrigerant, and the feet are height-adjustable.

Storage compartment

Beneath the display deck there is a stock space of 194 × 60 × 25 cm, accessible through 2 doors. It shares the same depth as the display area and is 6 cm shorter than the overall cabinet length. On the wide-body series, the 60 cm depth means more boxes fit in a row than in a 55 cm compartment.

Recommended products and limitations

Yes: cold cuts, salami, ham, processed meat products, packaged cheeses and dairy, vacuum-packed or pre-wrapped meat, packaged salads and semi-prepared foods, any product stored at +2/+8 °C.

Allow a minimum of 10 cm of clearance at the rear and sides for condenser ventilation.

Operation

After transport, leave the unit upright for a few hours before the first start-up to allow the compressor oil to settle, then level it using the adjustable feet. Clean the interior with neutral detergents, periodically check the condenser and the defrost drain, and keep the ventilation grilles clear. Operating and maintenance instructions.

Lengths and customisation

The series covers 100–400 cm, with 1, 2, 3 or 4 access doors to the storage compartment depending on length. Custom configurations are also available, with a lead time of 7–10 working days.

Weight, warranty and delivery

The cabinet weighs approximately 100 kg. As this is the wide-body series at 102 cm, check before delivery not only the width of the access doors but also the manoeuvring space at corners and in corridors. Unloading and positioning require two people.
