The 170 cm VFX1000 is the first length in the range to feature two doors for access to the storage space: you can restock from two points without walking around the unit with goods in your arms. The usable display depth remains 60 cm along the full length.

What you gain from the 102 cm width

Our standard horizontal display fridges have a 90 cm wide body and 55 cm usable display depth. The VFX1000 goes to 102 cm wide with 60 cm usable display depth. The 5 cm difference in display depth may seem minor on paper, but it means an extra row of products along the full length of the unit — at 170 cm, that is a genuine increase in displayed merchandise without adding a single extra linear metre of floor space.

The trade-off is worth stating honestly: the unit takes up 12 cm more depth on the floor, so the aisle in front of it narrows by 12 cm. Measure it before ordering, especially if the fridge will stand in a thoroughfare rather than against a wall.

Cold air that circulates on its own

Cooling is static: the cold air produced by the evaporator is denser, descends over the merchandise, warms up and rises back towards the evaporator. The cycle closes through natural convection and maintains a uniform temperature throughout the cabinet. There is no fan inside the display space — the unit's only fan cools the refrigeration unit's condenser. This is why operation is quiet and there is no airflow to dry out the surface of sliced cold cuts.

The digital thermostat displays the cabinet temperature and controls the refrigeration unit's cycles; defrosting is automatic and static.

Stock sits right beneath the display

Below the display area, the unit has a storage compartment measuring 164 × 60 × 25 cm — the same depth as the display area and 6 cm shorter than the overall unit length. On the 170 cm model it is accessed through 2 doors. As part of the wide-body range, this compartment is also 5 cm deeper than on the 90 cm units, so more boxes fit in each row.

• Built-in refrigeration unit running on R290 — plugs into a standard socket.
• Adjustable feet — for levelling on uneven floors and raising the unit by approximately 5 cm.

Leave at least 10 cm free at the rear and sides for condenser ventilation. Keep the unit away from direct sunlight, heat sources and draughts from access doors or air conditioning.

Installation and maintenance

Delivered ready for use. After transport, leave the unit upright for a few hours before first start-up, then level it using the feet. Routine maintenance: clean with neutral detergents, periodically check the condenser and the defrost water drain. Full instructions.

Weight, warranty and delivery

The unit weighs approximately 80 kg. As part of the wide-body 102 cm range, before delivery check not only the width of access doors but also the manoeuvring space at corners and in corridors. Two people are needed for unloading and positioning.
