The VFX1000 display fridge at 140 cm is the most sought-after size for neighbourhood shops with a medium-sized assortment: display space for three to four product groups, 134 cm of storage below, and a footprint that fits in most retail spaces.

Static Cooling at +2/+8 °C: What It Means in Practice

In a static-cooling display fridge, cold air circulates on its own. The cold air produced by the evaporator is denser than warm air; it sinks over the products, warms up, and rises back towards the evaporator. There is no fan in the display area — the unit's only fan cools the condenser of the refrigeration unit. For sliced cold cuts, cheeses, and vacuum-packed products, the absence of a constant airflow means merchandise that does not dry out on the surface and packaging that does not lift at the edges.

The temperature is adjusted and read on the digital thermostat display. Defrosting is automatic and static, requiring no staff intervention and no defrost heater.

Wide 102 cm Cabinet

The VFX1000 is the wide-cabinet series: 102 cm external width and 60 cm usable depth in the display area, compared to 90 cm and 55 cm on the VF1000 and VF1000D series. The result is more product visible per linear metre of shelf space. In return, the cabinet extends 12 cm further into the aisle — a dimension to verify before ordering, along with the width of any doorways the unit must pass through when entering the shop.

Construction

The interior is made from food-grade stainless steel: chemically neutral, with no transfer of taste or odour, a smooth surface that cleans quickly and withstands professional detergents. The curved or straight tempered-glass front provides full visibility and contributes to thermal insulation. LED lighting renders food colours accurately, consumes little energy, and introduces no heat into the cabinet. The refrigeration unit is built in, uses R290 refrigerant, and the feet are height-adjustable.

Storage Compartment

Below the display surface there is a stock space measuring 134 × 60 × 25 cm, accessible via 1 door. It shares the same depth as the display area and is 6 cm shorter than the cabinet. With the wide series, the 60 cm depth means more boxes fit side by side than in a 55 cm compartment.

Yes: cold cuts, salamis, ham, processed meat products, packaged cheeses and dairy, vacuum-packed or pre-packaged meat, packaged salads and semi-prepared foods, any product stored at +2/+8 °C.

Allow a minimum of 10 cm of free space at the rear and sides for condenser ventilation.

Operation

After transport, leave the unit upright for several hours before switching it on for the first time, to allow the compressor oil to settle, then level it using the adjustable feet. Lengths & Customisation

The series covers 100–400 cm, with 1, 2, 3, or 4 access doors to the storage compartment depending on the length. Custom configurations are also available, with a lead time of 7–10 working days.

Weight, Warranty & Delivery

The unit weighs approximately 80 kg. As this is the wide-cabinet series at 102 cm, before delivery please check not only doorway widths but also manoeuvring space at corners and along corridors. Unloading and positioning require two people.
